E Class

Between 1961 and 1964 CIÉ introduced 170 Leyland Leopard L2s. They were used on services all over the country. They were in the red & cream colours of the provincial fleet. They were withdrawn from the mid 1970s until 1984 however a few survived in Donegal and E58 survived in passenger service in Athlone until 1986 and a few became driver-trainers. E106 was still active in Cork in the mid to late 90s. E14 is in Broadstone. E140 is in Dromod at the Cavan & Leitrim Railway.
