LUAS Line B Test Run

Thursday 11 March 2004 was to have been the first run of the LUAS trams along the whole length of Line B from Sandyford Industrial Estate to St.Stephen's Green. The Taoiseach and Transport Minister were scheduled to greet the trams in St.Stephen's Green. However at the Taoiseach's request the run was cancelled due to the tragic events which had unfolded in Madrid in Spain. The trams had got as far as the bridge over the Grand Canal though before they turned back. Buses In Ireland was on hand at Milltown Station just at the Nine Arches viaduct to see the trams going through

It is not known yet when the test run will be re-scheduled for but Buses In Ireland will does its utmost to be there to bring you the photos
