MA Class

In 1993 Dublin Bus took delivery of 20 Mercedes-Benz 709D minibuses with Alexander bodywork. They have Mercedes Benz OM364 engines and Allison AT545 fully automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder, numbered MA1-20.

Many were delivered in City Imp livery and a new green&cream livery specially for the Localink service but were repainted in blue&cream version of the livery . The remaining examples are in City Imp livery.

All are now withdrawn however MA7 has been retained as a works bus for use around Broadstone with all seating removed.

MB Class

In 1987/1988 Dublin Bus took delivery of 15 MCW/Optare Metroriders. They were Cummins engined, MB 1-5 had seating for 23 and MB 6-15 had seating for 29. Later they were all reseated to 21 with the larger buses having a huge standing area towards the front. All were painted in the two tone green livery but also had cream from the windows up. They were Dublin Bus' first new buses. All were sold off later, but MB 8 was painted in Bus Éireann city livery and sent to Galway. All were withdrawn by mid 1990s

ME Class

Between 1994 and 1995 Dublin Bus took delivery of 35 Mercedes-Benz 709D minibuses with Euromotive bodywork. They have Mercedes Benz OM364 engines and Allison AT545 fully automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder, numbered ME1-35. Between 1995&1996 Dublin Bus took delivery of 25 Mercedes-Benz 811D minibuses with Euromotive bodywork. They have Mercedes Benz OM364A engines and Allison AT545 fully automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder, numbered ME36-59.

Many were delivered in City Imp livery but some were delivered in Localink livery. They operate from all garages except Conyngham Rd. ME22, ME26, ME27 have been converted to Nitelink Ticket Buses and repainted in a special livery. ME21 is also used as a spare ticket bus but remains in City Imp livery.

Only those in use as Nitelink ticket buses are still is service. All others are withdrawn.

ML Class

In 1994 Dublin Bus took delivery of 15 Mercedes-Benz 709D minibuses with Leicster Carriage Builders bodywork. All were delivered in City Imp livery and operate from Donnybrook & Ringsend garages. They have Mercedes Benz OM364 engines and Allison AT545 fully automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder, numbered ML1-15. In 1995 Dublin Bus took delivery of 15 Mercedes-Benz 811D minibuses with Leicster Carriage Builders bodywork. They have Mercedes Benz OM364A engines and Allison AT545 fully automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder, numbered ML21-35.

All are now withdrawn.

MV Class

Between 1997 and 1998 Dublin Bus took delivery of 25 Mercedes-Benz 0814 Vario minibuses with Euromotive bodywork and their fleet numbers seem to follow on from the earlier ME class. They have Mercedes Benz OM904LA engines and Allison AT545 fully automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder, numbered MV60-84.

All operate from Phibsboro Garage. MV64,79,80,81,82,84 are withdrawn.

MW Class

In 1990 Dublin Bus took delivery of 10 Mercedes-Benz 811D minibuses with Wright Nimbus bodywork. They were used to commence Localink service route 230 in 1991. Soon afterwards they were used to convert the route 83 to City Imp operation in 1992. All were withdrawn in December 1999 with the introduction of the WV class into Ringsend.

All are now privately owned with 8 in the Republic and 2 in Northern Ireland.
