All Photos: 20 September 2003
Saturday 20 September 2003 saw the return of the Van Hool Atlantean to the streets of Dublin albeit not in revenue earning service. DF839 went on a run around Dublin over several routes that were once Van Hool operated. Below are some pictures of the run.
Below: DF839 is seen here loading up with fellow enthusiasts on D'Olier Street at the begining of the run.
Below: After working out along the 46A route DF839 is seen at Dun Laoghaire DART Station
Below: AS we were in Dun Laoghaire we decided to display some local routes on the scrolls of DF839 here she is dressed for the 45A to Bray
Below: And dressed for another local Dun Laoghaire route the 111 to Loughlinstown. Ballybrack was and still is regularly displayed as it closer to Dun Laoghaire on the scrolls.
Below: Next it was on out to Dalkey and the terminus of the now gone route 8 which was saw many a Van Hool on it.
Below: While in Dalkey Donnybrook's AV91 passed us on the South Coast Tour.
Below: It was then back into town along the old 8 route. And while stopped on D'Olier Street one of Dublin Bus' brand new DT class Dennis Tridents, DT2 passed by. The old and the new side by side!!
