After trials with ME22&23 and ML16-20 loaned from Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann decided it was time to buy some minibuses. So in 1997 Bus Éireann bought 10 Mercedes Benz 811Ds with Leicester Carriage Builders bodywork (ML class) and 10 Mercedes Benz 811Ds with Euromotive bodywork (ME class). The MEs start at 201 and the MLs at 101 because Dublin Bus also have MEs and MLs.
They can be found operating in Cork on park n ride service, Waterford, and town services in Navan and Sligo. Many were bought for Galway town services but I dont think they ever operated the town services.
