Above: Donnybrook's AD54, a Alexander Setanta bodied DAF SB220 single decker. AD54 is seen here in Townsend Street on Monday 13 October 2003 waiting to take up the 1740 departure on route 86 to Killiney. The 86 started back in 1959 as a direct replacement for the Harcourt Street railway. The 86 operated along the old rail route to Bray however it was cut back to Cabinteely/Killiney in the 1970s and in the late 1990s was reduced to just one inward journey in the morning and two outward journeys in the afterrnoon/evenings. This route is most likely to be withdrawn upon the introduction of the LUAS however nothing has been confirmed yet.
